Do you have a problem with your mac showing a double restart, shutdown and log out in the Apple Menu?
Today one of my customer developed an odd issue with the Apple Menu. Under it, she had two restart options, two shutdown options and two log out options. Plus, certain fields in most windows, like the text in a dialog window will have a thick, black box around it. It also occurs in apps.
Don’t worry you don’t need to reinstall your OS X installation, it’s simply an Mac feature called VoiceOver. You accidentally turned on VoiceOver, probably by hitting Command-F5. Hit it again to make it go away.
Apple has built a solution into every Mac. Called VoiceOver, to make it easier for the blind and those with low vision to use a computer.
